How strong is too strong?  You can read further, the basis of that argument in the Barbells and Bell Curves post series.  For now, consult the below table and consider the following tiers:

  • Expected: means that athletes are expected to achieve these levels of fitness in order to obtain a minimum effective dose.
  • Game Changer: means best bang for your buck in that you'll see great rewards in-sport for achieving these fitness levels.
  • Cut Off: means that this is a point of diminishing returns in that you'll have to invest disproportionately to progress further.
